Summer Arrives Early Via Loona's New "Policia" Clip
It's not summer in Europe until Loona releases a video and today, she's kicked off the proverbial pool party! "Policia" is the latest catchy-as-all-get-out single from the Dutch singer behind surprise summer smashes such as her "Vamos A La Playa." She now lives on the island of Mallorca and is big in Deutschland. I've actually become friends with the German songwriter who co-wrote this tune here in L.A. (Lukas Hilbert) and he's quite talented indeed (he's repped by Warner/Chappell and has helped write songs for acts such as The Saturdays in addition to penning dozens of hits over the past decade in Germany). Very catchy song and really fun clip, shot in sunny Spain, of course. Check it below, will do well in Berlin and maybe beyond by summer.
Mallorca's Héroes Pen Ode To Spanish TV Personality "Anna Simon"
Here in America, female TV journalists are mostly not that great looking. But in Spain, apparently, a few are knockouts! Case in point? Anna Simon. Not sure if she is still a journalist or more of just an actress/TV personality/sought-after talking head at this point...all I know is that she seems really famous, still, and Mallorca-based band Heroes wrote an entire song about her. The "plot" of their new video is pretty much that all the guy can think about is Anna Simon (there's more to the video, too, but best you just watch it). Sounds a bit like the Killers (maybe). Check it below.
Spain: Spicy Dance Diva Patrizia Drops Brand New "Game Over" Video
Awesome. Patrizia has released her anticipated clip for "Game Over" and it's game, set and match for the fakers, because Patrizia is about to take over, friends. The clip was directed by SuperFlash and shot entirely in Barcelona at locations such as Bocca Restaurant & Club and the city's sharp-looking Hotel SixtyTwo. The Madrid and Leganes-residing singer, formerly known under the name Patricia Navarro, has a strong career behind her in the music world, per her bio. She is a former "Idol" in Spain (from 2009 and no she did not win). She was, however, a 2010 finalist in the pre-selection for Eurovision. Since then she's been tipped as one to watch and this new single remix version and clip is just the ticket for summer in Spain. We're playing this game over and over today, check it below. Caliente!
Catalonian Crazy: Sak Noel's New Single/Video Is "Where"
Guess who's back and ready for 2012 after a big 2011? Mr. "Loca People" himself, Sak Noel. The Catalonia-based DJ this time around decided to film a music video entirely on his cellphone, documenting his newly busy touring schedule all over Europe and reaching into Russia, thanks to the massive surprise hit of 2011, "Loca People." His latest hearkens back to the sound of "Loca People," but has a bit more of an aggresive edge. "Where" is a lot of fun, however, just like his past hits (though his "Paso" didn't do quite as well as a follow up single, sadly). Anyway, the gal who helped maske "Loca People" a summer smash (the tune went to #1 in countries all over Europe last year, from Austria to Belgium and even England), Esthera Sarita, can be seen in this new today video. Check it out below and ask yourself one important question: last night, did you perchance lose your underwear?
Gals From Spain's Ponte A Prueba (Europa FM) Parody Russian Girl Group Serebro's "Mama Lover" In New Viral Clip
This is just awesome. The unlikeliest smash of the spring in Spain has come from Russian girl group Serebro (an act this blog has covered numerous times) and their fun "Mama Lover." Now, a few of the gals associated with Europa FM show Ponte A Prueba have decided to film an almost shot-for-shot parody of Serebro's original low budget clip with a low budget clip of their own...with new lyrics not in Russian, naturally. In fact Daniela Blume, Laura Manzanedo & Venus sing the new lyrics in English, so we can all sing along this time (sorry, Russia, you had the original, now it's our turn). Check it out below. Caliente!
