Albania: Adelina Berisha Debuts "Ti Je Ai"

Don't know too much about Adelina Berisha. She was born in Prishtine (Kosovo) and she just released this video for "Ti Je Ai" today. The song is very catchy, even if the video is a bit low budget. Also: why is she wearing clothes while showering? Just wondering. Anyway, her latest was produced in part by DJ Zapp, who has worked with some big names before (most notably Dafina Zeqiri...he helped write "Supernova"). Other songs of hers that have done well in Albania include "Sa Larg Je" and a tune called “On Air.” Check out her latest below. Good song.

Vesa Luma & Big Basta Lower The "Boom"

Who is ready for an urban love story from Kosovo/Albania today? OK so maybe Vesa Luma and Big Basta aren't in love or dating, but they did just drop a tight song/clip called "Boom" and I'm feeling it today. Big Basta is one of the most popular rappers in this part of Europe, whom this blog has covered multiple times. Vesa Luma is is an Albanian singer from Kosovo who has an amazing voice and has been popular for years (she's also a judge now on the Albanian version of X-Factor). Together, these two are killing it this month with their new collaboration. Check it out below.

Perfect Prishtine: New Nora Istrefi Clip

More like this, please, from Kosovo. Today, Nora Istrefi dropped a great sounding and looking promo for "Ski Me Ik" and I'm transfixed. Wrote about Nora last year when she dropped her excellent "As Ni Zo" video, but this new clip is next level for her. And what a cool-sounding song, with heavy dubstep elements, especially at the end. It's R&B, it's electro, it's europop and dubstep all at once and it's blowing my mind. Check it below. Win!

Priština Pop: "Hot" W/ Kaltrina Selimi

How the hell did I miss Kaltrina Selimi's "Hot" last year? Saw her clip for "Zero," which was almost posted on the blog, but somehow missed this great song and clip. Now 100% obsessed. The Priština-born singer has a long-ish history in music, starting out by winning competitions. She later was in a group, but was "forced to leave," for some reason, in 2007. Anyway, now the Albanian from Kosovo is solo and we can all be happy about that. Make no mistake: Kaltrina is not nearly as popular as some other singers from Kosovo posted on this blog. She keeps a low international profile and this song/clip appears to be a bit of a high point at over a million streams. But it's a standout from this region and worth checking out below (nice production from Don Arbas at Arbasound).

"Hot Right Now" In UK, Albania: Rita Ora

God damn this is good. Earlier this month Kosovo-born singer Rita Ora and DJ Fresh dropped this video for "Hot Right Now" and it's racking up You Tube streams at a very fast clip, not only in England where she now lives (and was raised) but also in Albania/Kosovo where fans are down with the proverbial hometown girl. Maybe a lot of people know her in the States because she's signed to Roc Nation, but I honestly haven't seen too many American blogs or magazines write her up just yet (but maybe that's just me). Anyway, clearly in England she is making a big impression, it seems, and with good reason: this song is on fire (DJ Fresh is the D&B producer behind "Louder," one of 2011's more interesting # 1 singles in England). Check out the promo below. So tight.
