Bulgaria: Vessy Boneva Drops "Свързани" Video
Bulgaria's Vessy is back with another clip, hot on the heels of a video just released a few months ago, her in English "Work Of Art." This new song is in Bulgarian and "Свързани" translates to "related" or similar. Per her bio, Vessy is Vessy is "known as one of the most talented and productive young Bulgarian artists." The bio continues: "she sings in the top famous clubs in Bulgaria and is well known for private parties and events, having performed with international artists such as Inna, Robin S, Cece Peniston and Kelly Rowland." The actors in the video are Fahradin Fahradinov and "Heaven" Peeva. Check out her latest below, produced by Seeves Music.
Bulgaria: Deep Zone Project Drop New Clip
Sure, it's cheesy, but Bulgaria's Deep Zone Project really don't care what critics say: they are too busy having a good time (and selling downloads). The dance act have been around over a decade now and have had a fair amount of success. Their hit from a few years ago, "DJ, Take Me Away," reached the number 2 position at MTV Europe’s 'World Chart Express' and they actually won the Bulgarian Eurovision song contest selection process in 2008 (at Eurovision, however, the song did not make it to the finals). Anyway, we wrote about Deep Zone two years ago when they dropped their "On Fire" clip. Now, they're back with another tune with the word "DJ" in it and a Romanian label (Roton) is releasing the track. Check their latest below (shot at Club Showroom).
Bulgaria's Bright House/Pop Future Is Here Via Весела Бонева (Vessy Boneva)
Last year we blogged about a house singer from Bulgaria named Vessy. But this year she is blossoming into a true artist of note that is close to ready for the international scene. Весела Бонева's latest single/video is called "Work Of Art" and it's for sure under appreciated outside of Bulgaria (only 12,000 views on You Tube so far). Last month, the Plovdiv-based singer told signal.bg she's almost done with her solo album which will be preceded by a video for one of her new songs. She continued on to say she "wrote 14 new songs for my forthcoming set....I know they will have the opportunity to make the world of music in Bulgaria richer." While we look forward to her soon-to-be-released new video and full-length set, check out "Work Of Art" below. Promising.
Bulgarian R&B Roundup: New Clips From Krista ("За теб") & Mayrah ("No Fake Love")
Most interesting emerging music market in Europe? It's likely Bulgaria. Here are two recent clips of note from the country's growing R&B/pop scene. First up is a 100% winner of a clip from Krista called "За теб" or "Za Teb." The video actually premiered last month on a website in Bulgaria (music space) but it finally hit You Tube earlier this month and it's worth sharing as it's a pretty strong song. Krista is signed to Maria Ilieva's Stereo Room records and her latest was written by Rachel Row, Strahil Velchev and B.O.Y.A.N. Below Krista's latest is a brand new artist from Bulgaria named Mayrah. "No Fake Love" is not nearly as good as "Za Teb," but it's worth sharing as it's the singer's video debut and the tune is in English, a rarity in Bulgarian pop/R&B music that actually sells domestically. Check both clips below.
X-factor Bulgaria Winner Raffi Runs Wild In London In New "4321" Video
So there's this kid Raffi Boghossian in Bulgaria. He won X-Factor Bulgaria late last year. Now, the Burgas-based singer is hoping to cash in via a new single/video (in English) called "4321." He went to London to film the clip and it starts out shaky but gets better as the video unfolds. It's really hard to resist the insanely upbeat anthemic Euro-ness of this track (Sony has released it in Bulgaria) and the singer with Armenian roots seems hellbent on taking the EU by sheer force of his smile this spring. Will anyone fall for it? I have no idea, but Raffi isn't waiting around regardless. He's too busy singing "4321." Check the Evgeni Todorov-directed clip below.
