Portugal: Best Version Of "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" (New Video Of Song Sweeping EU)
So have you guys been following the massive success of "Ai Se Eu Te Pego?" The tune has been exploding at iTunes all over Europe this winter, no matter what countries' charts you look at. "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" became extremely popular in Spain and all over Europe after Real Madrid soccer players Marcelo Vieira/Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated a goal dancing to the choreography of the song, which is actually Brazilian. Michel Telo's version of the song is the most popular but there are many other versions in multiple EU countries now (even Inna covered it). But the best, campiest version might be Hallux's take on the tune, which is a Euroclub interpretation on the track, and there's now a brand new video from the Portugal-based DJ/remixer. It's high eurotrash to the nth degree!
Swiss Brazil! Yveslarock's "Running Man"
This is incredible. Today, Switzerland's Yves La Rock uploaded his new collaboration with Brazil's beyond famous in South America DJ/model Jesus Luz, "Running Man." The clip was shot in Rio and the song features the vocal talents of Portugal's fantastic Liliana Almeida. Not only is Jesus a DJ, he's also a supermodel known for dumping Madonna (who needs that old lady, anyway!). Anyway, this is a simply smashing house track that pulses with enough energy to fuel a Rio to Zurich non-stop flight (on a private jet with Champagne, of course). No, Madonna, you're not invited.
From Lisbon To London: Ana Free's "Love"
You know who is going to be a big star? Portugal's Ana Free. The Libson-born singer moved to London and her career is taking off a bit, it seems (she opened for James Morrison last year). But she hasn't forgotten about her Portuguese peeps, and this summer, she sang on this track by Claus & Vanessa, who are acutually Brazilian. Ana's own music veers more in the traditional singer/songwriter vein, but "Summer Love" feels like a perfect summer radio and/or beach club jam. Free is already very well known in Portugal, but I predict that in 2012 she will become better known in the UK and then who knows? Great voice, great looking face for possible future global chart domination. Check out "Summer Love" and then her most recent video "Playgrounds & Kisses" below for proof.
