Three sisters from Belgium, known as About E, are now the hottest (or at least newest) girl group to take Antwerp and "Roll With Us" is their proverbial calling card. The sisters are Demi (17), Lori (20) and Tilia Eestermans (22). Is it an accident that the entire band name and debut single seems like a lol-inducing giant homage to MDMA? Probably not! Anyway, who cares...the song, written by the gals, Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson is simply smashing. About E or Sony Music Belgium have made this clip unwatchable on You Tube in the U.S., but you can see it here at europopped anyway. Fridays are always the best days here at Europopped. Not sure why, but this is always the day epic debuts happen in Europe. Today, the four girls from Fourlicious (a pan European girl group) released their anticipated clip for "Over You," which is their first video after they ditched their manager and decided to go it alone. And the ladies are off to a promising start with this new song and video (never mind the fact the vocal sync is slightly off towards the end, just know that the song is good and the video awesome looking, given the circumstances surrounding the end of the group once known as Jameerah). I'm equally in love with all of these women, but if I *had* to pick a favorite, it might be Nelly Marie Bojahr, former Miss Germany from 2007. Last week Belgium's Dimaro dropped this clip for "Ready For Tonight" and people really seem to be feeling it. The track has all the hallmarks of a proper Belgian banger, with shimmering synths and vocals by Rosette set to thrill clubbers in 2012. Last year seems to have been a big building year for the DJ/producer, as he remixed the likes of Jason DeRulo and T-Pain. But he's surely hoping this tune will be his calling card in 2012, and he's off to a good start. Belgian and Holland hipsters are vastly superior to American hipsters. There, I said it. Want proof? Look no further than this kitschy-yet-catchy retro-flavored offering from De Hoop called "Waar Is De Meisje." I have been hooked on this song all fucking week and cannot get it out of my head. EMI Belgium is also hooked on this song (first learned of it via their twitter feed) and they are now working the song in Belgium, it looks like. Very hard to gain any info on "De Hoop" at all (and I looked everywhere...you will not find any either, trust me). All I know is that an earlier version of this video dropped in July and now someone (maybe EMI) thinks it can be an offbeat hit, so here we have a new video. All of the comments on You Tube re: this clip have to do with the Dutch language, so I think the chorus is a riff on how certain people talk (or perhaps poking fun at a simple phrase kids study when they first learn Dutch at school?).

I tweeted about this talent months ago, back when the former Belgian Idol (she was the runner-up) was filming her clip for "Flamingo." Wasn't able to embed the clip before, for some reason, but now I am so here goes. Kato Callebaut seems like a very big priority for Sony in Belgium (and soon beyond?), and rightly so. Her "Flamingo" has been doing well on Belgian charts (at #32 this week, and it has been as high as #11 on Ultratop's Top 50) and she already had a top 5 hit with "The Joker." Her record of the same name ("Flamingo") is brimming with possible future hits (preview it here). Kato even covers Robyn on the set and is known for her covers that turn up on You Tube. Anyway, this clip for "Flamingo" looks good and the song is a winner. Is this the future Belgian Adele?
