Lithuania's Wild Europop Basketball Song

Wow! What the hell is this? Marijonas Mikutavičius, Mantas Jankavičius and Vilija Pilibaitytė (or you can call her "Mia") all teamed up to record this epic English language homage to basketball. Why? Because apparently something called "Euro Basket 2011" is going down in Lithuania starting this August. All I know is "Celebrate Basketball" is the greatest new music video I've seen all week. Loving these sports-themed Europop clips. So random and so surprising. Amazing promo below and a must watch.

nobody cares about basketball and they're talking too much about it. Lituania is the only country who likes basket and they're crazy about it but they forgot that nobody else interested in it.

lol@ if nobody else is interested in basketball how do we have 24 counties coming to Lithuania just from Europe. Everybody Who saw a good basketball game knows that there aren't really any other game that can excite you as much as basketball. Football is considered the most popular sport in the world but in terms of excitement football at it's best is not even on the scale compared with basketball.
Euro Popped@ It's not big in Lithuania its huge. There's a hole lot more to it for us than just a game. No other country will understand what it means for us. Back than Lithuania was occupied by Russia basketball was a way to win against them basketball was what kept a spark of freedom in Lithuanian hearts for those long decades. Basketball is the most popular game in Lithuania for a reason.

Just a fan - let's be clear. Russia has nothing to do with the occupation of Lithuania. There was no such country back then. Even USSR then was lead by Georgian - Stalin.
