Las Vegas Looms Large For New EU Acts

Over the past few years I've noticed that one American city is looming larger and larger in the proverbial European music video vernacular: Las Vegas. More than New York, more than Los Angeles...it's Las Vegas where EU artists are wanting to set their music videos, for reasons unknown. Does the city represent dreams? The best of America? The worst? Anyway, Ukraine's Liana Novak set her brand new video in Vegas (although it wasn't actually shot there) and Germany's Kandy Nouvelle actually went to Sin City to shoot his latest clip, called "King Von Vegas." Both videos are below.

And Ukraine is not part of the European Union (EU), and the Eurozone doesn't comprise Romania either (or Denmark, Poland, Sweden...) Just a small namesake that bothered me from the beginning

It's my decision to use EU as shorthand for the two videos above. Don't like it? Start your own blog. Oh that's right, you did and no one reads it, which is why you comment here all the time.

The tagline of this website is "fresh music video finds from the EU and beyond." Russia is "beyond," so is Romania, so is Ukraine. Now fuck off with your geography lessons you sound like a dull teacher.

Well the problem is I don't have room in the headline to write much, so i had to use "EU" as shorthand for one video from Ukraine and one from Germany. That's all. And many more artists from France and Germany are now filming in Las Vegas, especially electro and rap artists. Just a trend I've noticed. Sorry didn't mean to snap at you.
